For several domelights with differing dimensions and loads the limit conditions for the supporting shell were to be calculated. The calculation was done using a parmeterized fe-computation giving the deformations, the stresses and the buckling loads. Evaluating this results the verification for the supporting shells could be led and the economy was optimized for minimal wall thickness.
